Tutorials: How to encrypt a wallet
The CloakCoin Core client contains a feature that encrypts your wallet with a passphrase. Keep in mind that you need to enter the passphrase every time you want to access your funds or look at a transaction. Encrypting a cloakcoin wallet restricts it to “spectator” mode, in which you can see the balance and incoming transactions, but nothing else in detail.

Encrypting your wallet allows you to set a password for anyone trying to withdraw any funds. This helps protect against thieves, though it cannot protect against keylogging malware.
Instructions
- Click on Settings -->> Encrypt Wallet...
- Enter a passprhase
- Confirm you want to encrypt your wallet
- Restart Wallet
Now your wallet is encrypted.
